21+ only. Information, not betting advice. Records are the services' own claims unless labeled otherwise. We have not joined any affiliate program yet, so every link to a service is a plain link and earns us nothing. If that changes, each paid link will be marked next to the link. Full disclosure.

How this site could make money
Today, Handicapper Check earns nothing from any service it covers. We have not joined any affiliate program. Every link to a service is a plain link, and the note next to it says so.
We plan to apply to affiliate programs run by some of the services and tools we review. An affiliate program pays a commission, usually a share of what you spend, when someone buys through the site's link. Programs we may apply to include OddsJam (which advertises a 50% lifetime share), BetFirm and Boyd's Bets (30% of net revenue to start), Hank Wins (35% through ClickBank), Gridiron Gold (25%) and Doc's Sports (rate not published). When a program approves us:
- The link changes to a paid link, and the words
Paid link: we earn a commission if you buy through this link
appear right next to it on every page where it shows up, not just here. - This page will name every program we belong to and the date we joined.
- Reviews won't change. Commissions will never turn a
self-reported
label intoverified
, remove a red flag, or move a service up a table. Services with no affiliate program (Pregame says it has none, Source: Pregame: affiliate program page, checked Oct 21, 2026) are reviewed the same way. - We will not use exceptional results, like one big winner, to sell anything. The research we cite found that paid picks as a whole did not beat the breakeven rate (Source: Fox & Mayer, Assessing Sports Advisory Services, UNLV Gaming Research & Review Journal Vol. 11 (2007), checked Oct 21, 2026). Typical results are what matter, and they are usually losses.
We follow the FTC's guidance that a disclosure should sit right next to the link it explains, and that a single homepage notice or a Disclosure
link alone isn't enough. Source: FTC: Endorsement Guides, What People Are Asking, checked Oct 21, 2026
Programs we currently belong to
None (as of Oct 21, 2026).
No picks, ever
We don't sell picks. We don't buy picks. We never repost or reveal any service's paid picks. Several services' terms forbid it, for example Doc's Sports, which licenses picks to a single (1) user
